I was reading a mutual friend’s blog this weekend and learned about a new happiness initiative that I need to share with you. It’s easy and it’s free and I would love for you to join me in this 30 Day Happiness Challenge!

It all began when James Moss started The Smile Epidemic, a social research project based on a shared digital gratitude journal.  They simply ask you to be mindful of the simple things in life that bring you happiness.  They believe that taking note of what makes you smile for 30 days can change the way you look at the world.

People take pictures of themselves as they share with others the thing that made them smile.  You can choose to take pictures and post them on the digital journal, or you can simply write down each simple pleasure that brought you happiness that day in a notebook or journal in the privacy of your home.  It’s up to you.

I read about The Smile Epidemic on a blog called “Be True” by Shelley Inglis Williams.  She inspires and empowers women and young girls of all ages to embrace a healthy self-worth and body image.  Maybe we can convince Shelley to be a speaker at our next Just You, Only Better Workshop for Women.

As James Moss says, lend me your smile and I will give it back to you with interest!”  Are you up to taking the challenge with me?  Research shows that if you do something for 30 consecutive days, it becomes a habit.  So let’s get started?  Who’s in?

Get Your Smile On,

Molly
